IFPI Finland (The Finnish National Group of IFPI) — the national trade association representing around 24 record producers in Finland — honored HANOI ROCKS with a special Emma award to recognize the band's pioneer work in exporting Finnish rock music and for HANOI ROCKS' unique charisma and rare vitality as recording artists.

The Emma Gaala (Finnish Grammy equivalent) was held this past Saturday night (March 8) at Kulttuuritalo in Helsinki.

The Emma Gaala is arranged and organized by IFPI Finland. The IFPI members range from major international record companies (EMI, Sony BMG, Universal, Warner) to small independent record producers.

HANOI ROCKS will play a series of acoustic gigs in Finland in March/April. The acoustic tour, dubbed "Hanoi Rocks Steppin' Out Acoustically", was first proposed in the summer of 2007 in Borlänge, Sweden where HANOI ROCKS played an acoustic gig in addition to its regular festival appearance. The acoustic performance left the audience absolutely stunned and amazed, leaving both the band and the fans craving for more.

The first acoustic HANOI ROCKS gigs ever in Finland will take place at Tavastia in Helsinki on Thursday, March 20. The band will play two shows during the evening, the first one for underage audience beginning at 18.00 and the second, age-limited gig beginning at 22.30. Pre-sale tickets are available from www.tiketti.fi.

The "Hanoi Rocks Steppin' Out Acoustically" setlist will differ greatly from electric HANOI ROCKS gigs. The band will play rarities from HANOI archives, some carefully chosen covers and other surprising numbers.
